The Economy
Ireland is the fastest growing economy in Europe with a competitive cost environment and people that are highly educated, productive and flexible. Ireland is known as “Celtic Tiger" due to its vibrant and progressive economy. The GDP growth of Ireland is 6%, highest of the OECD coun tries, higher than USA (2.4%) and UK (1.8%). The unemployment rate is the least among other E.U country. The economy is predicted to grow double the E.U rate. This growth is being attributed to the high investments made in the education and technology sectors.

All sectors in the economy have shown commendable progress-especially the software industry. Many multinational Companies in Computing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, banking and electronics sectors have their head quarters located in Ireland. The Country
The word Ireland derives from a combination of the Gaelic "Eire" with German word "land".
The main cities in Ireland are Dublin (capital), Cork, Waterford, Galway, Limerick and Belfast.
Ireland has a parliamentary democracy. The National Parliament (Oireachtas) consists of the President and two Houses: Dáil Éireann (House of Representatives) and Seanad Éireann (The Senate) whose powers and functions derive from the Constitution of Ireland enacted by the People on 1 July 1937. The Houses have separate constitutional identities.
Dublin enjoys a fairly mild climate considering its latitude in the northern hemisphere. Although most visitors assume that it always rains in Ireland that is not always the case! Temperatures in the summer normally range from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.
The month of September brings a warm break before the first rain season begins. January and February are generally the coldest months with daily temperatures ranging from 4 C to 8 C. Snowfalls are rare in the winter season and the average temperatures in all months are mild.
It can often rain each day for weeks at a time ranging from a constant drizzle to a heavy downpour. It’s always wise to bring a sweater or jacket and an umbrella as sun showers are common and occur without warning.
The Irish People and Culture and Styles
IRELAND IS ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES IN EUROPE TO STUDY, WORK AND LIVE.
Dublin has a population of approximately 953, 000. The entire country has a population of only 3.8 million. Ireland's population began to increase only in the 1960s and the majority of people living in the country are under the age of 25.
Dublin is fast becoming a multicultural center for EU and non EU nationals. Surveys show that foreign investors in Ireland consider the quality and the "can do" flexible attitude of Irish people to be of the countries greatest advantages.
Dublin can offer a wide range of culture to explore and experience. Ireland is known for creating great pieces of literature by writers such as Oscar Wilde, WB Yeats, George Bernard Shaw and Samuel Beckett. Ireland also continues to keep traditional music and dance part of its current culture. Gaelic sports including Hurling and Gaelic football are very important events to the Irish people.
Style trends in Dublin are similar to the rest of Europe sharing the same or similar climates. Women generally wear trousers in the cooler seasons and often wear summer dresses or skirts on warmer days. Third level education institutes for the most part do not have dress codes for attending daily classes. In the education below Universities and colleges school children will often be seen in their daily school uniforms. Casual dress for attending school includes jeans, trousers, skirts or dresses for women and men mostly wear trousers or jeans. short sleeved shirts, polo shirts and sweaters are the main tops worn by both men and women. Many places of business in Dublin require suits for both men and women workers, however small shops may have uniforms for you or require neat, tidy and casual attire
